Position Overview:

The Senior Director, Partnerships plays a pivotal role in driving KeyCare's market expansion by forging strategic alliances with payors, employers, and health plans. This role demands a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, a proven track record in business development, and a keen ability to build and cultivate enduring relationships. driving the expansion of KeyCare’s market presence by developing and executing comprehensive strategies to secure partnerships with payors/health plans, employers and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, a proven track record in business development and possess a strategic mindset, enabling them to optimize virtual care access through diverse channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development and Execution:

  • Architect and implement a comprehensive business development strategy focused on acquiring new payor, employer, pharma and other similar partnerships including identifying and prioritizing target accounts within the healthcare market.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, gather competitive intelligence, to inform strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Identify, prioritize, cultivate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within payer, employer, pharma organizations as well as other partners, positioning KeyCare through economic and value-driven solutions.
  • Identify, prioritize, and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts.  
  • Develop and execute compelling proposals and presentations to secure partnerships.  
  • Negotiate and finalize contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements to establish mutually beneficial partnerships and successful implementation.

Partnership Management and Growth:

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential partners to ensure new growth of $MM in first year with revenue goals being re-established annually.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of partnerships and inform strategic investments.
  • Represent KeyCare at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility, generate new business opportunities, and maintain a strong market presence.

Internal Collaboration and Strategic Alignment:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, and clinical teams, to develop and implement corporate strategies to drive commercial success for KeyCare.
  • Develop and implement a partner maturity model to measure partnership success and identify growth areas.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to identify emerging opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development and/or sales within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong experience to build and maintain relationships working with leaders and executives across clinical, technology, operational, technology and financial realms.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and closing complex partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including payors, employers, pharma, ACO, MCO and health plans.
  • Proven experience working with health systems who use Epic’s EHR. Demonstrates a strong understanding of Epic EHR functionalities and workflows in a health system. Direct experience working with Epic is a plus.  
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset with a strong understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.  
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in business or relevant area a plus.

Travel Requirements

Travel required for key client events and staff retreats – up to 50%
